Damsel....I was in your position. IF your doctor will sign a "permanent" disability form you send to them-they should "dismiss" the loan.  Is what I had to do several yrs ago.    Mine was dismissed. Don't discuss w/lender....just do it.   They wont have much choice. IF your doc will do that. Mine did without question. I wish you luck. Contact me if you need to.

Are you sure it was a "PRIVATE" student LOAN?

How do I get a "permanent" disability form?

That would mean I would have to contact the lender to get that form right? Well, I dont even know if private school loans have such a form. I know that federal school loans do, whatever relevance that makes...I am certain she will do it, but where do I get the form if one so exist for permanent disability on private college loans?

Please let me know how I can get this form any any information more you might now. It's really appreciated! Smile

HI DAMSEL...If the doc writes on one of her regular med reports, you can copy that and send to the school. I do "think" mine was a private loan, its been so long ago, I don't remember. But, almost sure it was. OR they can call your doc and confirm you perm disabled.  My doc wrote on a form that I was perm disable and POW, it was gone. They even refunded the money I had paid. Is worth a try?? let me know if I can be of further help.      Kiss
