Is it a violation of the privacy act for a country club to post your name at a site where all members can see when a member is late of paying their bill?
I'm not a lawyer but I would bet it depends on your member's agreement and any posted club procedures.
Grandee is right on. 2 thumbs. It still an issue. You have a right to privacy on everything. Even the IRS don't use that tactic. Change clubs.

I'm not a lawyer either but in South Carolina it is not illeagle to post the name of members of an HOA with past due balances so I'm guessing this applies to any business. There is a question of whether it's a good business practice (personally, I don't think it is) but if you take this further you'll find out that unsatisfied obligations have nothing to do with the privacy act.
