In the US, what percentage of the male, Black population has been in Jail or prison?
Where can I find that stat?
I found some interesting stats here on the African American population according to studies done in the years 2000-2001. You will find that according to their statistics in 2000 1 in 20 African American men over the age of 18 was in state or federal prison, compared to 1 in 180 white men! In a more updated study I found here, 1 in 15 African American men is in prison. I hope this helps!
