I would hope not. Xanax is a very, very, powerful medicine even for adults. It is also very addicting. Fast and quick addiction to this drug. I am sure a doctor would be smart enough to figure something else out then prescribing xanax for a child even in the smallest doses. I hope you did not take your doctors advice on this and maybe you should find another doctor who is willing to research the best medicine for your child.
