You should use premium fuel only if your operators manual says to do so. Even if it does, it will not cause any mechanical problems if you try a tank of 87 octane ( UNLEADED REGULAR). If you get an engine ping with the lower octane try half and half. If you still get a ping, your stuck with premium.
