The directions from Miami to Reno is North by North west. With Miami is the same level of Corpus Cristi we find the distance west approximately 1242 and Reno should be approximately 830 miles.

A bearing of 100 degrees is 10 degrees below the "horizontal" west-to-east line.
Draw the line representing 2472 sloping down 10 degrees and join
a vertical to the horizontal to make a right angled triangle.
2472 sin(10) ~ 429 miles is the amount Reno is north of Miami.
2472 cos(10) ~ 2434 miles is the amount Reno is west of Miami.
