Prayers

The bible says that sin hinders Gods blessings and answers to our prayers. I have been praying for something while knowing I have not made things right as far as a certain sin. I'm unsure if the prayer was not answered because of my sin (which now I am making right, confessing, and repenting) or because it just wasn't God's plan for me. Should I continue praying or accept it as not happening because of consequence of sin.

A principal requirement is faith, not just sincerity of belief that God exists and can hear prayers. (Hebrews 11:6) Such faith is demonstrated in striving to live in harmony with God’s righteous principles set out in the Bible. In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ stressed this point: "Not everyone who calls me ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do."—Matthew 7:21, Today’s English Version.

Here's an example of those whose prayers would not be heard, the Hebrew prophet Isaiah wrote: "Even though you make many prayers, I [Jehovah God] am not listening; with bloodshed your very hands have become filled." (Isaiah 1:15) So any who do not respect the sacredness of life cannot expect their prayers to be heard, no matter how often and how fervently they pray. (hope this helps)

Loved one, Our Father always answers prayers. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes no and sometimes wait awhile. His time is not our time. You are making things right with God. Keep praying and trusting God to do what is best for you. He loves you dearly and won't abandon you.

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

The bible tells us if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. God does hear and answer prayers. Jesus told us that anything that we ask the father, in his name that he would give it to us. The key is to have faith that GOD will do it and wait for him to move. Sometimes we may want something right away but our time is not GOD's time. Remember that all things work together for the good of those that love the lord and are called according to his purpose.  I believe that the only reason GOD would not answer your prayer is if you are praying for something that GOD knows that is not good for you. Have you ever hoped for something to happen but later on was glad that it didn't because it would have messed up your life? GOD knows what's good for our lives. Just trust him and be patient because our ways are not his ways, neither our thoughts his thoughts.

Galatians 6:9 "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not".

Be patient my sister, your blessing is right arount the corner.

Be blessed in the Lord.

Livin in a small, backwoods, country, Southern town that's deep in a holler is like bein in Heaven.

Yes, sin hampers our prayer life. Now that you've made things right between you and God, just keep asking and believe that He's already answered/given you what you've asked for.

As you draw closer to God, He will give you the desires to pray for. If you are praying for the wrong things, He will let you know in your heart, but you do need to repent if anything comes between you and God. Remember He is on your side, not against you.

As long as you made things right with God, ie. confess your sins he will hear your prayers and answer.  If it is not answered the way you would have wanted it to be answered then hard as it may be accept that God knows best.  I am assuming that you have faith first in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus and me love ya !!!

Start praising Him for the answer to Your prayer now that you have confessed your sin...In (1 Thessalonians 5:18 the Word says, In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you)...We sometimes forget to praise Him for what He is doing, God inhabits our praises !!! He loves to be praised !!!
