This is not uncommon. First, if you live in a area of high humidity, regular cleanings of the contact surfaces of the of the window drive units will be required. I am referring to the electrical switches that control the windows. Sometimes you can just expose them from inside the door panel, armrest, or center console and give them a shot of PUREtronics contact cleaner.
