Possible Child Abuse at the Neighbors

It's not necessary to report straight to the police, You can simply report the local welfare authority. They might send a social worker to check things out, but I'm sure it would be a more pleasant visit than a policemen's visit...

Coming from the angle that I recently had someone call CPS on me for revenge, it is not a pleasent experience. It's scary and infuriateing and violateing.

However, I am so thankful that CPS were willing and able to look after my children's welfare, even if it was a waste of their time.

And ask yourself this, what's would be worse, falsely reporting and having nothing happen to the family or not reporting and finding out late that your should have?

Report it and don't give your name. Describe what you are hearing and seeing so authorities can check out the scene. Better to be wrong when reporting it than wrong when you don't. If there was no abuse the authority personnel will ask them to keep the noise down to prevent false suspicion of abuse.

Great advise from everyone. Yes I would report it in a heartbeat, to whoever would respond every single time it happend until I was a pest!.. And like like Jammer said.. stay anonymous... call from a pay phone if you have to.
