Pool Filter Pumps not working pool is green w/ algea need repair and Maryland Pool Contractor

My Inground Pool turned Green and Now it is Black. I think my pool filter and pumps are not working. I need a good pool repair company or pool contractor in Maryland. Pool has algea and frogs living in it. Also may need pool replastering. Can anyone recommend a reliable and fair pool repair contractor in the baltimore annapolis maryland are? I live near upper marlboro , MD. 20772

Once the pool is Green or even worse , Black. You will likely need the help of a professional. Last year I spent more than 2 Months trying different things to clear my pool without success. It would start to clear up then get green again shortly after , I went thru 200.00 of chemical. My neighbor had used AAA Home Services for his pool and recommended them. They came out and got the pool clear. My filtering system was not working properly and the dirty particles and algea were returning to the pool. Their number is 877-752-7714 My tech was Gary and they service MD DC and VA

Good morning Lynn,

   I would call your local pool supply store and ask them who they would recommend. Sometimes, Home Depot and Lowes will tell you who they use too. Everyone has a pool where I live and the pool maintenance guys are everywhere I have ofter asked them questions about pool companies. Then I did it myself.

I have brought my pool back a couple times from death. It cost me more that draining it and refilling. This last time, I drained the pool, replaced the pump and filter cartridge. I repaired the Marcite coating with hydraulic cement mix and then painted it with INSL-X chlorinated rubber paint. The entire project cost me about, 700.00 including the water to refill. The new pump 1 1/2 hp Hayward was 360.00. The paint 40.00 a gal x 6 The cemnet was 80.00 for a 5 gal. container Filter cartridge was 40.00. Thats for a 14wx26xL 5.5 avg.depth.

I got the paint through a local paint supplier at cost.

It looks great and no more problems.

Thanks for the advise , I did call AAA Home Services and they got someone out the same day. It ended up being an easy fix. The filter fingers in my DE Earth System were rotted and needed replacement. My pool is now crystal clear and ready to swim. Those guys are really good. The Toll Free number I used for AAA Home and Pool Service in Maryland Virginia or DC is 877-752-7714

Maryland Pool and Spa Repair
