Really, well, you need to go back a few years and look at which party spent us into oblivion, when they began with a balanced budget. And it doesn't begin with the letter "D".

The goverment for all the criticism that right-wing extremists level at it will certainly do no worse at running the banks, health care or GM then the greedy and unprincipled people who sabotaged the system and demanded our tax-money for a bail-out. The real fear of the republican party is that goverment will do an excellant job and people will demand that the goverment serve the interest of the MAJORITY instead of the super-rich.

I hardly fear that the government will do an "excellent" job running our lives.  The role of government is primarily to protect and defend the country.  You don't have to be a "right wing extremist" to disagree with the way that this government is trying to control the banks, auto industry, health care.....  What ever happened to personal responsibility?  You are obviously alright with the socialist views of this government.  The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of everyone else's money.  If you think that the "super rich" can pay for the massive spending of this administration - you are mistaken.  Our children and grandchildren will be paying for years.

Not if we reform the tax code so that everyone, including corporations pay fairly. Right now only the middle class pays. And if Americans would stand tall and refuse to buy the trashy goods we are getting on import, that would help as well. It is very hard to find anything of quality anymore. American companies manufacturing overseas are not only paying very low wages to their workers  they are sending back trash at regular prices. Talk about getting rich off Americans. Look at the tags before you buy and learn which things are still made in America. If you want to help, buy American and then more taxes will be paid. And write to your congress people about tax reform. It should be apparent that the middle class can not do it for much longer. Not only that, the middle class is getting older and older.
