when downloading directx 9.0 i have a small problem. in one point in the installation, you have to place the extracted files files in into another file. I have no idea how to do that. So i really need a walkthrough in how to install directx 9.0
Hey, It's hard to understand what your problem is. Try to write it down again with some details - error messages, etc. Anyway, Are you aware to the fact that Directx 10.0 is available as well?

As far as I know, DirectX installation is automatic, no need to extract things to places etc.
Most games that require DirectX usually have an installation of it on their CD/DVD. I would try to use the DirectX installation from there.
If you have a genuine Windows you can go to Microsoft Update and install DirectX 9 (or even 10 if its available for you). It should automatically install it for you.
