Plants for a garden inside my living room

How can I create a garden inside my living room in my flat? I realy want a garden but I don't have the land for it.
There is light about 12 hours a day - not direct sunlight.

I need names of plants that can grow inside my hous.. special things I need to carry out? (type of soil, fertilizers..)

Any ideas?

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

Shouldn't have any problem.  Consult your local nursery.  Typical flowers for home: African lillys, Orchides, just to mention two.   African lilly's need very little watering and Orchids need distilled water.  Both need enough light (next to the window) and suitable temp.  No special soils.
Best regards,

Hey... it's a really good idea.  I'm actually starting to do the same thing.  Here are a couple

sites that I found that give some information on the plants.  As Oron said though, I would just go to your local plant store and ask them which plants they think would go along with your indoor garden idea.  They will tell you which plants need what, how much water, sunlight, etc.  You have to really watch the plants though individually so that you don't kill them.  They are very fragile.  I just kept one of my plants outside for too long (wanting to give it some more sunlight) and now it looks like it's suffering.
