Planning of Packing for Delivery

My wife is giving birth sometime next month. For the purpose of planning, typically, how many days will she be in the hospital after delivery?

Have fun, but be safe, use a condom!

It really does vary as some women are in and out very quickly and may not even spend the night, especially if they had a quick labour.  It is best to pack for 3 days and then you can always bring her anything else that she needs if she has to stay longer.

best of luck to you both.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That's why they call it the 'present.'

Laws vary state by state, but I know for sure that my state requires a minimum of 2 nights' stay after delivery. That is, barring any complications. If there were any problems, it is up to her doctor as to how long she should stay. If she is to have a c-section, it will automatically be a longer stay (again, in my state 5 days) because of the surgery. Best of luck to you both during this happy time!
