Need help with placing a wedding announcement in the newspaper. When should I place the announcement? Where can I find information about what format I should use and what details I should include?
Thank you.
You usually place your wedding announcement in the newspaper after the wedding.
Newspapers will ask for the standard info - usually a black and white photo, where you live, where and when the wedding took place, names of all those concerned etc.
You can find more tips and ideas at wedding announcement in the newspaper a good resource for wedding information and ideas.
Cheers.
I would give my last dollar to one in need.
Call your local newspaper and explain to them what you want to do.usully there is a form you have to fill out, along with a picture that you want to put in with the announcement. if it is an announment of you getting married it goes in before,if it is the actual one that you been married it can go in from the next day of the marriage(a sunday ) til anytime, depending on the space the paper has available. good luck.

Wedding announcements are published right after the wedding--within the first two weeks max.
Most newspapers now have a standard online form you can fill out for wedding announcements. When attaching a photo, be sure it is a high resolution jpeg that will translate well to print. Soft focus photos do not work as well as sharper ones. Your local paper can help you with the details
