...cuz if they were round, they be slippin' and spillin' out the boxes,

with no corners to catch ... they stay stacked better too (more sturdy)

Good Thought!  Actually, in plants where they make boxes, it is currently all set up to make square boxes and there are a lot of square boxes in all shapes and sizes out there...it's more cost efficient (currently) to keep making them square.  A lot more setup in the plants would be needed to make a round box and I would imagine more glue, etc, so the material cost would be higher as well.  But there are pill boxes, hat boxes, etc, that are round, so it's possible to make them.  I don't think the demand is quite there yet.  Maybe when we all order pizza, we should ask the owners...to ask their suppliers for round pizza boxes instead?   :)

Because a square box is esier to assemble.

Because it fits. It's just that simple. You don't see the folks at Pizza Hut or anybody trying to fit their square pizza in a round box, do you?
