Can paranoia be treated with medications? Is there a pill one could take which will help her get over her fear of whatever it is she's afraid of (spiders for example)?
Paranoia stems from schizophrenia, so any pill that used to treat Schizophrenia should also treat Paranoia, for example -Colzapine.

In my opinion, counselling is the way to go. In regards to treatment with counselling they might try antianxiety medication.
While paranoia may be a symptom of schitzophrenia, it certainly does not mean if a person gets paranoid it stems from this. ( in response to Albert's answer)
If they are "Out to get you" you aint paranoid.
