It is easy to talk the talk.
Now it's time to walk the walk.

A:

Amber, physics and chemistry are so closely related that the study of biology (and biochemistry) necessarily makes the disciplines inseparable.

Living systems (like open and closed thermodyanimic systems) have known dynamical laws and nicely respond to them.

In that even literature requires a competent sense of engineering and physics to write convincing sci-fi, one would be hard-pressed to find any area of life that does not include the physical sciences.

Of course, there are assorted pseudosciences around that make a mockery of actual science, such as the spiritualist movement that existed from 1860 -- 1940.  They used Van der Graff generators to build high static voltages connected to the seats of "stooges" who then glowed in the dark, wall knockers (basically solenoids built into the walls) and other contraptions guaranteed to scare the wits out of people who mistook these things for actual contact with the departed.

So, please forgive me if I tell you about "Seance Fiction."
