Are Pets Treated Better than Humans?

I read this story about a pet store employee keeping his job even though he apparently hit the dogs, and the store's response (which actually could make sense, I didn't watch the video).

But I'm asking really about the first comment, which claims in America pets are better treated than humans, and while people cry out when seeing someone beating a dog, they ignore a dying man on the street.

Is that true?

I don't think that people who treat animals well treat humans badly. On the contrary. Unless you're a lunatic, if you care about living creatures, you realize you want to do everything you can to stop suffering, no matter who's in pain.

I think you'd have to be pretty psychotic to treat animals better than humans.

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

Humans can defend themselves.Pet's are like children,they'd rather take a beating than hurt their master.It's about time animals started getting treated better...but not just domesticated cats and dogs.I wish people were more considerate of the wildlife we kill everyday and the animals we slaughter for food.

pets are not treated better than humans they get treated like some kind of ragg doll and it is not right i hat all people who treat animals terrible
