Our dog, Buddy,  and our 18-pound cat, Stinky, are as much a part of this family as we are!  Bud always knows when it's the weekend and gets excited from the time the sun comes up.  Ever since he was a puppy, my husband takes him when he goes to fly his remote-control airplanes.   There are acres of land for Bud to run off the energy that he builds staying in the house all week.  All the guys at the field love Bud and he prances around there like he owns the place.  Stink is such a lover; he likes to plop down in my lap while I'm reading in bed or watching TV.  I can't imagine life without either of them.......  By the way, we adopted both of them from an animal shelter; Bud, 9 years ago and Stink, 6.

I suffer from major depression and anxiety.I recently went ahead a got myself a kitten(Bella). She's so wonderful and we are very much bonded. She comes running when i get home and she follows me everywhere. She's better than any human friend i ever had.She has given me to have a reason to get up in the morning.I feel im getting better and i am not so sad all the time since i got her.Animals really can heal. Feel free to email me if anyone feels the same way or is thinking about getting a pet for the same reason i did. Cool

There are four rabbits in our household and I love them all dearly, but my Midnight is the one I love most. My mama and I found, after purchasing her that she was two-and-half weeks too young to be sold (domesticated bunnies need to be 8 weeks old, Midnight was 5 1/2) so she was kinda like my baby and her personality reflected a lot of the spunky 12-year-old I was at the time.

However, when she was 3 months old, my carelessness got her in an accident when she got her leash tied around her leg and tried running to get free, resulting in a fracture at the knee. I was scared as heck, and the vet only gave me two options, because of her age: put her to sleep, or engage in a surgery that gave her a slim survival chance. I did'nt want to lose my baby girl so I asked for the surgery. I kept crying while we drove the two hours to the pet hospital and I hugged my little girl, told her to be good and be brave, and that I really loved her.Cry I watched the workers take her carrier down the hall and I reluctantly left, knowing I could'nt do anymore but wait, and pray. Those were some of the longest days of my life; I kept praying and praying, "God please let Midnight be okay, please don't let me lose my baby!" I had brought her to the hospital on Tuesday, so on Thursday the phone rings, and I can see the ID is the hospital. Hands shaking, I pick it up: "Hello is this ____?" "Yes it is" "Your bunny made it just fine--" Surprised"REALLY?!" "Yes, I'm looking over and she is just waking up from the anathesia". I screamed and yelped for joy like a six-year-old.

It was after that, Midnight and I had a much closer bond, to eachother and to life. She is now six-years-old and the only regret I have is that her lifespan is half over; I spent a lot of time with school, and friends, that I wish I spent more time with my baby. I'm making it up this year as a senior and when I move out, I'm going to have Midnight live as a semi-free-range rabbit. I figure most people would not see a rabbit as a pet, but they are as smart, maybe smarter than any dog, and Polish dwarfs having a reputation for not being good pets are quite spunky. I would'nt have any other rabbit in the world!Smile

I love my pets  I recently lost one to a stroke We couldn't bear to part with her so we brought her ashes back home and put them on the mantle. She was a stray that came to us with her puppy in tow the owners lived down the street and were going to send her to the pound. She ran away to us twice so we decided she wanted to live with us and our other 5 dogs so we kept her and for 6 years she was our mama dog RIP Lady you are loved. The rest of our pets are priceless to us and our children know and respect all living creatures.

We have a boxer name Sammie (Samantha), and she is VERY, VERY important to our family, as well as to many others.   She is 8 1/2 years old and has been the most amazing dog in our lives.   We would drive many miles to return her to us if she went missing while on a trip like this.   It would be very hard to even leave that area she went missing until we found her.   It is truely amazing how pets can fill your life with so much joy, and you can not imagine them some day not being with you anymore.   We can only hope and pray she lives a very long and health life.

We have a 7 month old pit bull and we are absolutely in love with him.  He is a warm, loyal, funny, happy dog.  We don't want to even think about not having him around.  He is part of our family and it would not be the same without him.  xoxo
