If you have a Petco near you that is your best bet for finding anything you need for pet supplies and projects. Also your small local pet store can be very helpful in helping you find what need. As far as pet carriers go any of the chain farm stores carry a large variety of carriers in various sizes and prices, as well a Wal-mart, K-Mart and Target.

"The First Aid Companion for Dogs and Cats" is a great book. It is so important for all pet owners.The book has more than 150 health care topics listed alphabetically.The injuries and illnesses section covers everything you can think of and provides lots of background information as well as treatment.
