What is your experience with Breeders Direct In ...

Sorry, wish I could help but I've never heard of this ourfit. I live in the ozarks of Arkansas and have never been to Florida. However, you could contact your Better Business Burreau and ask for a reference for this breeder, I'm sure they could help you.

I ordered my puppy from Breeders Direct in early April and went through their "interview" process. At first, I thought it was some sales tactic and I was upset that I had to prove myself to them before I could purchase a puppy. I have 2 other dogs already so I'm more than qualified to buy a puppy without proving my ability to care for another one. I purposely answered some of the questions incorrectly and to my surprise, I was REJECTED! They actually refused to sell me a teacup Yorkie because I told them I have a small child under 5 years of age. Any company willing to turn down $2,000 for a puppy is surely one that truly cares for it's puppies. After I explained that I had lied just to test them, they finally agreed to sell me the puppy. I got it within a week and he's perfect. I would recommend them to those who want high quality pups but be prepared to pay top dollar. They definitely aren't cheap!

I wouldn't know, the only two pure breds I've had were 'culls'. They came from breeders who only wanted "perfect" dogs and were to be 'put down'. Molly, a fantastic Collie, was nearly blind because they had bred so hard for that long pointy nose. The other, Duke,The most exellent shepherd in the world, had short legs. Sounds like two pretty good reasons for killing  wonderful and loving companions, right?   All my other wonderful friends come from animal shelters and the ones I pick up on the road, tired, hungry and foot weary. Sure glad I wasn't born at a breeders, I'm near sighted, short legged and have an attitude. They would just have drowned me at birth.

This company is a ripoff... They only care about selling dogs and making money.  They try to sell you on the concept that there are other credible dog registries out there (i.e. CKC, UKC, FCI) and they are not! The only credible dog registry is AKC any other is founded by, governed (I use this term loosely) by, and has oversite by dog breeders.  Feel free to Google this!  In other words they 'police' themselves.  If you want a dog, go to a rescue shelter.  Why, because at most animal rescue shelters you get low cost care as well as affordable training for your dog.  It all depends on the shelter's location.  I have worked for Breeder's Direct back when they were Any Pets Inc.  AnyPets.com  They are nothing but puppy peddlers in disguise.  If you have a problem with them go to: sunbiz.org  place your cursor (mouse arrow) over 'Document Searches' move down to 'Corporations/Trademark/LLC/LP' move over to 'Inquire by Officer/Registered Agent Name' and click on that!  Then type in SCHWINN,JAMES  This will give you all of the corporations owned by this man and will also give the history of each individual one that has been either Voluntarily or INVoluntarily dissolved (by the State for whatever reason).  The first is done by the owner...  if you want a pure bred dog, go to AKC.org research and educate yourself on that breed, then only through AKC's website, contact that breeder that AKC has listed!  ONLY!  The only objective of Breeder's Direct is to make money, they don't care about customers or their employees!!!!!!!  Also, if they owe you money contact Florida's Cosumer Services @ www.MyFlorida.com  Hope this assists you in your query...

This company is full of sh!t.  They try to haggle you for money without giving you the proper information.  I would never ever recommend this site to anyone.  Look at other sites with AKC registered puppies.  They have their head stuck up their a$$, and act like they are overwhelmed with callers trying to get puppies. LOL. They called and harrassed me until I physically went on their website while on the phone with them.  They don't tell you on the phone interview that you will have to put a deposit down on a puppy or you will be rejected for a year to come back to look at getting a puppy from their site.  I was just try to get more information about the company and puppies.  Let me remind you that they called me.  They pretty much try and trick into a sh!tty situation.  This company is hillarious and a f*k*n joke. 

I found Breeders Direct to be the most scroupulous of predetor sale sites I have come across in all the times I have shopped online. On the 1st day of my search for a puppy breeder online, I had the misfortune of going to Breeders Direct right off the bat. What rotton luck that was. The site looked so professional and inviting, it seemed very above board. So I filled out one of the interest windows to find out more and leave a phone number. Well I was contacted promptly and questioned intently as to who I am, and if I really would be a good parent to a pet.I felt that was a sign they cared about the dogs and their possible homes.

Then they set the hook which is where I'm sure people will think "what a sucker". Well their right I was. I was given a song and dance that If I didn't leave a deposite at this time I would not be able to reapply for one year. I should have hung up right then. However in my excitement at looking for a puppy. I thought I would hold a place with this company, since they made it sound so good.

Later that same night I found a site that had a couple of items, derogitory to the Breeders Direct company. There were also a couple of items in defense of the company. I found out that they are terribly overpriced as I continued to look at other breeders. Two days later on November 27th I called to cancel my order with the company, and to request my deposit of $650 back. Nothing in their contract said anything about non refundable deposits. I was in fact told that my money would be retuned and that the sales fellow was walking my paperwork down to the accounting depatment as we spoke. What a lie. I have called Breeders Direct at least 2 dozen times since. I have always been told my money would be refunded. It is now Jan 9th and still no return of deposit.

This is a disreputable company that is obviously steeling money from people with thier tactics. Please don't be a fool like I was. Keep shopping and pass Breeders Direct by without a glance

We bought a Morkie puppy thru them summer 2008, I was adamant about the size and wanted nothing larger than 6-61/2 lbs. I was told that the parents were both small, one 4 lbs and the other under 6lbs. They did a pressure job on me , again saying we only had this opportunity to buy or had to wait a year.When the puppy arrived he was matted so badly that we had to have him shaved, our vet found ear infection in both ears and he had skin rashes. They also promised that the pups were raised in homes and  and socialized. Both my vet and the groomer said that the puppy probably not been around people at all. I called and voiced my displeasure to Direct Breeders and they did call back, wanted copies of my vet visits and the grooming fees, I was jazzed since we had spent an addt'l $200-250 upon his arrival-- Wrong! they stiffed me completely, never paid a cent or contacted me afterwards. I followed up with letter to Corporation head and got no response , we love the pup but he is now 8 mos old and weighs almost 12 lbs, what is wrong with this picture?? They won't let you talk to breeder, they don't do much checking to be sure and I hope I can save someone a whole lot of time and money, you DO NOT get what you pay for & no one at Breeders Direct cares

This has been the worst experience of our life!!!!  The puppy was on a twenty one hour trip before we received her, and she was in VERY POOR condition, and our vet claimed her unsound for sale; from that point on it's been a nightmare!!! We would never suggest that you deal with this company in any way what so ever, call you local vet to see where to go to find your new family member.  We are still dealing with them and it's not good at all.
