All that is good and right on, but don't forget, you have to kill the eggs that the fleas leave behind. Get a spray called Knockout E.S. by Virbac. Spray where the dogs sleeps and anywhere else that fleas can lay eggs. It will kill the fleas when they emerge from the eggs as well. It takes a while for all the fleas to die but as long as you spray, they will. I use frontline on my dog and he has no fleas as long as I keep up with it. The pills never seemed to work on him.
