Dear Itchy,

I live in Florida the bug capital of America and have 2 dogs and 2 cats, all are in-door/out door pets, so I feel your pain.  First, get all the fleas off your animals; I use FRONTLINE spray on my dogs and Frontline oil on my cats ...you put it on their back between their sholders so that they can't lick it off.  You can get Frontline from any vet or probably on line.  It works for about a month per application.  Then, go out and get an over the counter flea spray like Raid.  Spray the whole house, upostered furniture too; this kills the live fleas but not the their eggs.  You're half way there....then after the floors/carpets dry sprinkle down a heavy layer of BOARAX SOAP POWDER and sweep it into the carpet until you can't see it any more.  Do this every time you vacuum - no it won't damage your carpet and it's very inexpensive.  Put it behind furniture and appliances to kill other bugs too.  This stuff is the key!!!  It's harmless to humans and animals but it kills the fleas and other crawling critters.  I will swear by this process.  I've done it for years and I have zero flea and bug trouble.

Good luck.

Debbie w/ a tan, not flea bites!  Cool

You have to vaccume everday for one week everthing, also you bed. If your pet has a bed vaccume that also. And give you pet the pill your vet give you. Give the pill then vaccume that's the only way.You can't do one without the other.
