Just jump in. Realizing, of course, that you might mess up the pool. But, Hey! What is all the chlorine for.

Well, a tampon is the easiest/cleanest solution. However you can also use a contaceptive sponge.. it will be much messier to take out at the end of the day though, as you can imagine!  If you're uncomfortable about using tampons, I completely understand!  Then the sponge will be out of the question too.  Some girls just have to avoid pool parties for a week out of the month.
