You speakk a lot of truth my friend. It is also very diffifcult to communicate with the Christian side of the Church who have their minds firmly set on literal truths of the Bible as they understand it. Note is said as they inderstand it. They are very sincere in their thinking; it is Biblical. To them there is no room for discussion.  What breaks my heart is that they have no love or compassion for those who are different from them, especially a homosexual person or one who commits suicisde as you mentioned. They quickly quot a verse and say God condems you not us. Where is the compassion; They usually don't welcome you into their church. They don't want you around their children for example. They won't give you a chance to show you are a decent human being who can be trusted; they think you can't be trusted-hence judgement on you. That makes me sad. These are good people trying to be holy but trying too hard and failing in the most basic teachings of Christ to love one another. There has been too much written already. Forgive all who fail trying to be good.
