I owe $35,000 on a building on contract for deed - 6% interest, 9 years left to pay. Would I be better off to take the money out of my mutual funds and pay it off, or should I keep paying it each month?
Just keep paying it off. It sounds as if you are not financially stressed, so you can make payments. If you take the money out of the mutual funds, you will lose any of the benefits of compound interest, and also be taxed on the profit you made on the mutual funds.
