My experience with the late Dr. Sagan is probably best left dead, with him. I will say that he delayed my entry into my scientific career by thirty years, that he persecuted others who did not hold with his atheist views, and even the best scientific proof went over his head if it did not please his insufferable ego.
The public side of Dr. Sagan would attract people.
The actual man made rational people want to exclude him from their circle of friends.

All I ever saw about Carl Sagan was his TV show, Cosmos. I was not impressed.
Seventh-grade material, at best.
