Pamela Anderson leaves children alone in hotel on New Years

Pamela Anderson left her 2 children (ages 10 and 11) alone in a hotel room in Las Vegas while she went out partying on New Years Eve.

Do you think this is acceptable?

Or do you think this was bad parenting on her part?

I would say that at that age it's a bit irresponsible. I especially don't understand why she didn't hire a babysitter for the night ( I don't think it had to do with financial issues).

Anyhow, If the kids were a little bit older or if it were one child I would let it slide but this seems too much responsibility. especially in New York, in a hotel room, on New Years Eve.

Call me conservative but that's where common sense leads me.

It's not the mountain we conquer... but ourselves

Well, I think that as long as the kids are responsible, it's OK.  I know that when I was 10, my parents let me stay home alone.  Sure, it would have been a bit more responsible, and more fun for the kids, if someone older had come over to be with them.  But, as long as she trusts her kids and has no reason to think they won't be OK in the room, why not?

A non-famous mother did the same thing with her two children and now she's planning their funerals and is being charged with negligent homicide. It makes you wonder, no?

I can't believe that she didn't have someone watching them. It is not like shae can't get any man to do what she wants, and she has plenty of money.
Every parent has to make these decisions and they are not easy. I would not do that with my kids, but at that age I was left to take care of myself at times.
Responsiblity is hard for those on the outside to decide for other people about kids at that age. If she left them with dangerous things like drugs, alcohol or guns- it is easy to pass judgement. But if they are hanging out playing Wii and eating pizza, it doesn't sound so bad.
That is a tough one...
