Paint and "antique" new ceiling Tin Tiles for that old world look

I would like to know how to "antique" new ceiling  tin tiles. Even layer with several colors.

I have purchased new ceiling tin tiles.  I know how the seal the tiles.  I know how to spray paint them.  On single color.  I would like to know how to antique them - where you'd apply a darker color to hi-light the indented parts of the pattern.  I have seen where the tin tile has had several different colors of paint applied to it all over.

I hope someone can HELP me!
