Hi, Jay, Walt Kelly was the author artist of the POGO cartoons. Yes, this is certainly one of the classics and one I remember well. I was growing up in the 40s and 50s when Pogo was first published. There is a wealth of information about Pogo, Walt Kelly, who died in '73, the cartoon strip, and more, just an easy AOL search away from you as we speak!
