Yeah, Eran covered the subject nicely in the discussion benklinger linked to. I think the only important software Eran didn't mention is LimeWire, that many people really like (I never tried it, though). It works on the Gnutella network, so if you don't find something on the bittorrent network, it's worth trying to find it on Gnutella.
