P2P programs disconnects modem

why do my P2P software (eMule & utorrent) disconnects my modem? i'm using a wireless router (D-Link). I tried to limit the total download speed to 50KB/s (my internet speed is ~150 KB/s) and it doesn't help. Anyone can help? Thanks

I think the D-link router resets itself when there are too many connections for it to handle  try downloading only one file at a time and see if it works.

maybe there was a problem on your configuration, try also to use limewire which i think much better to eMule.
