Is Oyster the best? Special events beginning of November?

WE will be in London arriving from Liverpool at the Euston station on November 5th and leaving on the 8th. Is the Oyster card the best and least expensive way to get around on the tube? Also, we are wondering if there are any special events going on during the days we'll be there. Thank you!

Oyster is definataly the best and cheapest thing to use on public transport in London. You can pre purchase cards at http://www.visitlondonoffers.com/oyster-card/index.htm they post them to you so you have them before you leave and it saves a further £1.

Re events, you could try the Visit London events search as there are so many great things on - it really depends on what you like to do. http://www.visitlondon.com/events/

BTW, there are some amazing exhibitions on at the Tates (Turner and Pop Life) , British Museum (Moctezuma) and the V&A (Maharaja).
