Oyster Card

with an oyster card I am planning on using it to get a bus from Westminster to Oxford Street and back, also may a bit inbetween, how much should I load onto the card - as we will only be using it that day

Each bus journey costs £1 on pre-pay Oyster regardless of how far you travel. The cost of your travel over the course of the day will be capped - the capped adult fare for buses is currently £3.30. See http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/singlefares/2903.aspx for details
