How many NHL games were played outdoors during the past season, and are there plans to continue next year?

Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.

There have only been five major outdoor hockey games played world-wide. From the 1991 NHL pre-season exhibition to the 2006 Frozen Tundra Classic. The NHL is planning 1 outdoor game next year. As of now, the date, site and clubs involved have not yet been announced. For more details go to the following link:
