Orthodox Jews relationships.

I heard from an Israeli friend that extreme Orthodox Jews commit sexual  intercourse without even looking at their spouses, without showing any affection. Is this true?

 Jewbiquitous Yeah, we're everywhere.

There is a VERY small VERY right-wing fringe of Orthodoxy that believes that modesty should be preserved, even in bed, and so they touch as little as possible during sex, and try to remain covered.

That said, that percentage of even Orthodox Jews is tiny. According to the Talmud there are three things that a man must provide his wife with: food, shelter/clothing, and sex. Most Orthodox Jews do wait until marriage to have sex, and many of them don't touch any non-family members of the opposite gender, but once they get married, they do have sex just like anyone else.

Love your life.

I think this is like that whole myth about the hole in the sheet. It's not really reality but people still keep to be passing it on.

When I took kallah classes before I married, I was told that when having intercourse with your spouse, it's a spiritual connection between you and your spouse and God. That's why you can only be thinking about your spouse and not some "image" you may have seen earlier (for example, if you saw a picture of a naked woman right before having sex. According to the rabbi's wife, it's a sin if a child is conceived during that sexual episode if both partners weren't thinking about each other).
