What is the best way to organize your wardrobe for the change of seasons?

I have wardrobe boxes in my garage. When the seasons change I switch the clothes. Pretty simple.
Haphazardly. Of course. Duh, maybe, and I'm going out on a limb, by season?

I organize my closet by having a section of shirts, a section of pants, section of dresses, and a section of other items. Then i organize by color. Then by style of whatever the items are. (:
Definitely time to pull out some of those classic sweaters and long sleeved shirts out of storage.
I just have sections in my closet as to what clothing I am wearing right now or not.
