Online Video-to-SWF Conversion

What kind of server-side application(s) do sites like YouTube.com and Famster.com use to convert uploaded videos to Flash/SWF online, on-the-fly?

I assume YouTube and Famster are probably using some homebrew software that might rely on open source or 3rd party component for various codecs that are in use today in videos.

Perhaps they are even using the famous and excellent FFmpeg open source project!

not sure about server side, may ruby, ajax or something else, but on the desktop side, i use swishvideo. www.swishzone.com

Flash Video MX can convert video to flash, and will have server version next month,
