Just One Pancake

Can you make pancakes and be content with eating only one?

Wouldn't it be better to avoid pancakes altogether?

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

Yes... I would much rather avoid pancakes all together.  It seems like eating just one pancake would be sort of torture.  However, I think that french toast is better than pancakes.

That's really up to you.

If you feel it's easier for you to avoid certain foods, I say why tempt yourself. You might find that after a while it gets easier, and that certain foods lose their appeal, and you can actually be around them comfortably.

I know that there are some things that can become slippery slopes for me, and that it easier for me to just say no.

I'll search, while you Cool wait.

Honestly -- whenever I eat in a military dining facility, as I did this morning, I sometimes select one pancake and I am actually content with eating just one.  However, I cannot avoid eating pancakes.  I ate them everyweekend as a child, and I have noticed that as I grow older that I do not eat as much as I did many years ago.

go ahead eat a pancake...while you are at it, put some bluberries or strawberries in the batter.

go to whole foods and buy whole grain pancake batter instead of bisquick. use butter spray (no calories/fat/sodium/choletserol) instead of regular butter. use skim milk or soy milk instead of whole milk, and egg whites instead of egg yolks. put on just a small amount of lite syrup. have a side a fruit salad and a glass of water.

now you have a healthy breakfast with fiber in it.
