The US used to be a powerhouse in Olympic boxing through the 1970s at least, yet they took no medals in Beijing in boxing. Does anyone know OR understand why?
Always know what you want.
I think you can compare the boxing attitude to the basketball attitude. For the last 2 Olympics, the men's basketball team lost, when they should have won. Whether it was cockiness or sheer indifference, they didn't play well. Only after they got tired of losing did "the Redeem team" come out and win the gold. I think that's what we'll see with boxing. I just hope the next Olympics is better for U.S. boxing.
we actualy took 1 bronze home the reason why we are not doing good is because other countries like cuba dont have pros so they hae 27 year old ameatures (in there prime) which of cource if thats there whole life job them being ameatures will beat normal 18 kids from america ameatures in america is used to get the experience to go pro in other countries its like being pro
