I think it totally depends on your relationship with your parents, and how long we're talking about. If you lost your job in your 50's and went to live with your parents for a couple weeks, I don't see a problem with this. However, I think the child should be expected to pay for some of the groceries, to do work around the house, etc. No one is going to baby the 50 year old.
