Old Information on net

Is anyone erasing information on the net?  Are old irrelevant sites being erased by someone?  Can you say some information disapears?

Computers are the wave of the future.

Interesting question. I think depending on who the website belongs to and what the content is, it's up to the person maintaining the website to decide whether to delete the information or at the very least, update the information when new information comes along. News websites I'm pretty sure don't ever delete anything; they're the ones who are constantly updating stories, etc. I think websites like personal blogs are the ones that get old and people forget about them and they get left online, but they never actually disappear unless someone actually deletes them from the web.

The only way to erase information on the net is to have access to the ftp upload of the site where the info is listed.

Yes, webmasters frequently update their sites or have an automatic deletion after so many years, especially in forums.
