(Jennifer, you must confirm your Yedda subscription in the mail Yedda sends you or they cancel your account, brutal - I know, they don't make it very clear....)
Your best bet for a reliable and complete Ohio inmate search would probably be with the Private companies.
They take the time and effort to collect data from a large pool of government and private sources and then sort and order the info, and finally put it online - not a small task. It's this convenience, accuracy and completeness for which they charge a fee (and on which their reputations are based).
A manual Ohio inmate search would probably entail a lot of running between government buildings, waiting for hours in queues, and most likely still paying an admin fee for the information anyway - which stands much less chance of being as complete or as accurate as a private search.
For a private search I use Inmate Search , they have one the largest data bases of information, their process is fast, and my past experiences with them are that they have complete and accurate information.
All the best and I hope that helps with your Ohio inmate search.
