Obama's Past...questions still linger

I started looking into Obama's life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies.

'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both
from Pakistan.

During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family.

My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? (He won't say.)
Neither I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college.

When he came back he started school at Columbia University in  New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry.

Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap! to say the east. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. (He has never released complete information)

After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.

By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. <it seems that EVERY loan that Obama helped him secure has defaulted and EVERY property is condemned and boarded up>

Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the Arab-American  Business and Professional Association'.

About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School?

Where did he get the money for Harvard Law School? More student loans? (He won't say)

After Law school, he went back to Chicago.  Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented 'Rezar' which
is a Rezko's firm.

Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was  “instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race.”

In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million  (less than asking price).

With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? (He won't say)

On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an  Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home  was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any  major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran!

Do we see a pattern here?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was 'sacked' after the press found out he was having regular contacts with .... 'Hamas', which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. Recently, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he  is elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.

Oh, and by the way, remember  the college roommates that were born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all  those 'small' Internet campaign contribution for Obama. The ones that are immune from complete Federal Disclosure. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The  Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on 'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos (sic). Obama talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim  faith'. When questioned, 'he make a mistake'. Some mistake!

All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it - Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.",  Daily Times Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times - September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question - If I found out all this information on my own (without too much effort), why haven't all of our 'intelligent' members of the press been  reporting this?

I didn’t do anything on Ayers because the available data is scarce...except, of course for those 1200 pages of redacted material Obama releases on “just a guy that lives in my neighborhood”

A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - 'Beware of the enemy from within'!!!

How does one say, President Obama?

I have yet to talk to one person that is voting for Obama, where do they get thier ratings?

Fredst, thank you for all of this info, it is all true, WHY do they say, "well that is all in the past", if it were John McCain, they would tear him apart, as a matter of fact I doubt they would even let him run for President!

Obama is a crooked man, has walked a crooked path with all of his cronies. As a matter of fact, what is his past, well what we know is that he is well known for hanging with criminals, that's all we really know, and I include his ex-"pastor". If a white man had taught the things that Wright has, he would be arrested, no doubt.

Speaking of "all in the past", were you aware that the Obama camp contibuted funding to a Brittish filmaker (The Brittihs version of Michael Moore)?

The project: they went back to Hanoi and the "Hanoi Hilton" to see if McCain's account of his captivity was factual. They interviewed the ex commandant of the prison who said (not surprisingly) that McCain was treated with kindness and was never tortured. They interviewed townspeople who recall seeing McCain walking freely in the compound.

What is amazing to me is that 40+ years later Liberals will believe our former enemies and doubt the words of not just McCain bust also the testamony of other POWs.

That is it with Liberals....America is always wrong and at fault.

Listen to Democratic candidates for office. My God, you'd think they were talking about some third world country instead of us.

We HAVE problems....huge problems. But still people from every other country want to be here. 94% of us have jobs, the highest employment rate in the world! 14% of homes have been foreclosed. In some countries the total home ownership is not 14%! Our gas is, today in Jacksonville, Florida at SAM'S $3.299, that is still less than most of the rest of the world pays.

Two different views of America. One candidate says the 'foundation of our economy (meaning the American workers) are in good shape'; the other candidate scoffs and proclaims the speaker to be out of touch. Democrats want to do the same things they always have
1. Scare you and tell you how bad the problems are
2. Tell you who caused the problem
3. Tell you that with a little more tax money they can fix it

Well they've been throwing Billions at "the Great Society" of LBJ for 40+ years and that has NEVER fixed anything....we still have one of the worst school systems in the free world...and we still have generations of the same families still on welfare.

Americans have gotten lazy and want to be taken care of. Because of this I truly feel that Obama is going to win. I also feel that once that happens & the Democrats maintain control of congress that shortly thereafter this house of cards they have crafted will tumble and that we will, probably, see a depression similar to the Great one.

Marine and Fredstm,

With all due respect, it is unfair to blame all the "young ones" for Obama's popularity. I am a 24-year-old McCain/Palin supporter and I think there are many, many factors that contribute to Obama's popularity, namely the media. I recently heard someone say that 2008 would forever be referred to as the year that journalism died. It seems that instead of reporting the facts ( for example details on Mr. Obama's past, which still has most of us befuddled), they are concerned with promoting their own self-interests in getting Obama elected.  They spin the news to show McCain and Palin in a bad light and Obama? Well, Obama can do no wrong! What? He has ties to a terrorist who as recently as 2001 stated that he wished that he would have bombed more. A terrorist that was part of a group responsible for the murders of people... And Mr. Obama states that he thought that this terrorist had been rehabilitated? What, did he go to terrorist reform school? I wasn't aware they had one. Anyways, I just wanted to say that not all young people turn a blind eye to the actual issues so that they can be part of that oh-so-trendy, obnoxious, left wing college crowd.

MJS, I was speaking (typing?) in 'general' terms. I know that not every young person is not for Obama as well as I know the converse is also true.

Having spent 20 years in the media, many in news, I've been carping about the media for 20 months. Welcome to the fray!

I'm aware that it is good 'show biz' but I get alarmed when I watch the young idiots that Leno stops on the streets of LA and questions. They are a testament to the inadequacies of our educational system.

The last time I checked terrorists, especially those who've been responsible for the deaths of other humans should be in jail...not teaching our young people in Chicago. I DO find it amusing that he teaches in Chicago. I find that poetically symetrical.

I don't mind that Obama 'hung' with him...or didn't. I do care that his initial action was to lie about knowing the man. I do care that he finally released 1200 pages...1200 redacted pages on this guy that 'just lives in my neighborhood'. I couldn't give you 1200 pages on my city much less one casual aquaintance.

It all doesn't matter. Too many Americans want (as Obama said in April) "a president who will solve all their problems." Now, he plans on "spreading the wealth around". Didn't Karl Marx also advocate that?

Too many Americans are blown away by the guy's gifted verbal skills and stage presence.

Too many Democrats forget JFK's words, "no American is ever lifted by lessening another." He was talking about taxes at the time. He meant that no one really benefited by raising taxes on another class.

Obama will win. Aided (much to your chagrin) by a huge turn out of young people.

The last president who had similar proposals as he during a recesson was Hoover. Those proposals drove us directly into the Great Depression.

Well, I can agree with you there. (Actually, I agree with all of your posts that I have read so far. ) It angers me when I attempt to discuss politics with my friends and they announce that they are voting for Obama because he "plays basketball." It's sickening. Everyone is so enthralled with Obama. I'm not at all trying to compare the two, but didn't Hitler give great speeches too?

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Why can't you say President Obama! He is an American too. Not only is this comment unamerican, it is unchristian like.

If it's the Lord's will that he gets elected, you can start practicing.Smile If you don't want to say President Obama, I am sure that he doesn't mind if you call him Obama or better yet Barack.

Be Blessed.
