Obama and His Environmental Maniacs Play "God" ! ?

(AP) - The president's new science adviser said Wednesday that global warming is so dire, the Obama administration is discussing radical technologies to cool Earth's air.
John Holdren told The Associated Press in his first interview since being confirmed last month that the idea of geoengineering the climate is being discussed. One such extreme option includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun's rays. Holdren said such an experimental measure would only be used as a last resort.


"It's got to be looked at," he said. "We don't have the luxury of taking any approach off the table."
Holdren outlined several "tipping points" involving global warming that could be fast approaching. Once such milestones are reached, such as complete loss of summer sea ice in the Arctic, it increases chances of "really intolerable consequences," he said.
Twice in a half-hour interview, Holdren compared global warming to being "in a car with bad brakes driving toward a cliff in the fog."
At first, Holdren characterized the potential need to technologically tinker with the climate as just his personal view. However, he went on to say he has raised it in administration discussions.
Holdren, a 65-year-old physicist, is far from alone in taking geoengineering more seriously. The National Academy of Science is making climate tinkering the subject of its first workshop in its new multidiscipline climate challenges program. The British parliament has also discussed the idea.
The American Meteorological Society is crafting a policy statement on geoengineering that says "it is prudent to consider geoengineering's potential, to understand its limits and to avoid rash deployment."
Last week, Princeton scientist Robert Socolow told the National Academy that geoengineering should be an available option in case climate worsens dramatically.
But Holdren noted that shooting particles into the air—making an artificial volcano as one Nobel laureate has suggested—could have grave side effects and would not completely solve all the problems from soaring greenhouse gas emissions. So such actions could not be taken lightly, he said.
Still, "we might get desperate enough to want to use it," he added.
Another geoengineering option he mentioned was the use of so-called artificial trees to suck carbon dioxide —the chief human-caused greenhouse gas—out of the air and store it. At first that seemed prohibitively expensive, but a re-examination of the approach shows it might be less costly, he said.
Are these people insane? They are so driven (almost to a manic state) to go on with this fraud, that they are willing to do things to the earth's atmosphere without any idea of what will result!
Why is it necessary to play "god" with nature? What caused the ice cap to withdraw from the last Ice Age? SUV's? Idiots! This is nature repeating itself! Now we have these moronic zealots who are going to screw with the atmosphere? Why? To make Gore and Soros more money?
These people are crossing the line, and must be stopped before they kill everyone!

Maybe you should learn to read and realize it’s not just the United States that is thinking of new inventive ways to save our future generations. Maybe you don’t know what the British Parliament is… let me help you, It’s run by the British not the U.S

Did you not understand that paragraph? Maybe you should re-read it… I don’t feel like spending my time trying to teach you how to understand your native language.

Also, I’m guessing You don’t want your future grandchildren to have a life… think how hard it would be for them to live in waterworld? I’m asking you this, because maybe you have a higher chance of seeing that movie over understanding scientific logical reasoning.

Thirdly, you must realize that though you might not want a future, the rest of us do. It’s also not just about making torrents of money, Certainly those who are educated in the science field WILL get a lot of money, they most definitely earned it. And to think that they would just take the 50/50 chance on their first try of it succeeding or failing passes the brink of stupidity. May our god help you gain brains.

Why is it liberals believe because you disagree with someone's philosophy and principles that you hate them? This is an old ploy just as they trot out "Republican's are going to reduce Social Security" every election cycle!

Number one, you cannot find one, just one place where I say that I hate Obama!

Two, you sound suspiciously like Tippy and some "other" liberals who love to use that "H" word when people disagree with Obama!

My suggestion to you is I do not want a world for my children where super inflation and taxes they will have to pay to get out of this debt will leave them with NOTHING!

I want a world where EVERYONE pulls their weight, and earns what they have and NOT have government and those who DO work pay for THEM!

If you think that holding up the Europeans as models of how to get out of this you are quite mad!

By the way list a profile on yourself, so everyone can see a real fantasy on Yedda!

First of all, I’m not going to go stalking your every post, how inconsequential that would be of me to find some dirt on you. I’m writing to you from your tone in this post, I learned how to decipher that a little before intermediate school… Gold sticker for me

As for me sounding like another person, is it so strange that more than one share the same sentiments. I think not. So let me put you at ease and assure you that I am not this Tippy…Just because I said the “H” word. It should in fact cause you to think… maybe you should spend more time trying to get your meaning across in a much more lucid way.

Here is an example of what I mean, This paragraph was totally gibberish… but I did try to make something out of it. My suggestion to you is I want a world for my children where super inflation and taxes they will have to pay to get out of this debt will leave them with NOTHING! See, What I got out of this is that you want your children to pull us out of this debt and that they are left with nothing in the end. Now I’m not sure if that’s what you tried to get across, if not, please correct me and please look over what you write. It doesn’t do too good to have a discussion on a basis we do not agree on.

As for you wanting everyone to pull their share, I want that as well, and I’m a Liberal. Where we differ on this view is how it’s going to get done. I had this discussion with my best friend during lunch, A bit of background information he is Conservative to the extreme. We were discussing how Illegal immigrants come to take the Americans Jobs. It’s true. We only differed on certain points. One, my facts I proved on the spot, and two what others told him and he just spat out. I asked the average American, I made sure I had an even of White, Hispanic, and Black…Not too many Asians so I don’t know how that effected my statistics. I asked around the question “Hey, Would you like to break cement or dig holes for 8dollars an hour for 16 hours a day?” ALL the answers were no.

Now I made sure to walk up and down the Cafeteria and not stay in my little area where it’s possible others have the same view as me. I ventured out. The argument that has been going on for years in this country received an answer from the Generation for the Future. Educated Americans will not lower their standards for a bit of money. For those who are at lower standards god bless them… but they should have finished their education and it is unfair of them to blame others of their loss, they chose it the moment they decided to stop learning.

Now I’m sure you have heard of the Cart Function. Just think of a Giant cart full of people who do not want to work, and ox or horses that usually pull, are the working force.
Now, It’s not just people on welfare who are also in the cart getting the free ride. Why, We have People who have Massive amounts of Income… I mean seriously, who would work a day in their life after mummy and daddy left them billions? Then We also have Children and Students… Why, why not make them all work… screw the future. Then we also have Retirees… I mean, they’re not working anymore. And then those on Welfare.

There are only two factors that should be allowed in the cart, and that is the Retirees and Children/Students. But that is only probable in Paradise, We are not in fact in paradise.

As for me, Without the Government help, How ever will I pay for College? Our future generation needs to be in college and with the prices going up extensively, we need all the help we can get. We are the smallest generation, the “x”ers. We need all the government help NOW that we can get, so when it’s our turn to pull the cart the Baby Boomers won’t cause the cart to go even further backwards as it is now. I can only hope I get a very well paying job so I can help sustain this economy and myself in the future. I need money for college, My parents were immigrants so they can’t even pay for half my College. I’m only glad I dived into my studies during High School and received Grants… From the Government…. To help further my education.

First of all, it’s not going to be just ONE country who will figure it out, It will be a joint process. After all, we all do live on the same earth and want to save her for as long as we can. So now, I can proudly and honestly say I am not in fact mad. So again, Process before you speak… that is the key.

As for you thinking I am hiding, I am not in fact Hiding. It’s just that Yedda does not allow others to see profiles of those under 18. I am 17. In a matter of a month I assume it will show. But it shouldn’t matter what my age is, If I can present a clear and calculated opinion or defense then it should not matter. As for me being the fantasy of Yedda, Do not mistaken an innovative mind for one not worth listening to. It might in fact, be you who lives in the fantasy world, Do you think what you’re told is the 100percent truth? That goes for BOTH liberal and Conservative views, it comes down to how much education one received and how it is put to use.

Thank you for your opinions, I will keep them in mind when yet another person comes along with the same problem.

Thank you for your honesty. A question about immigrants and jobs however. I do not know where you live, but,it is a fallacy that Americans won't work for menial wages. In this part of the country, even the liberal media show when there are any kinds of jobs available now, thousands of people show up for them regardless what they pay! Especially now, that if your a parent and have to keep a roof over your kids heads and food in their stomachs it is amazing what you are willing to do!

I listen to all points of view I may not agree,but I listen. Once you have been here a while you will see that myself and Tippy and many others may go at each other, but in the end ,whether those arguments sway anyone ,who is to say. We are all standing up for our belief and values systems!

Socialism is not the way! Redistribution of wealth is seen as the answer to all problems! Make the rich poor, and the poor rich! Has that worked in ANY socialist country in the past? Pay my mortgage, pay my college, pay my health care I'm entitled! Why are you entitled? Are you guaranteed these things by the Constitution? Were your parents guaranteed these things when they immigrated?

No, they were not! College costs are out of sight because of federal government involvement in the education system! There is not one program in America that the federal government has taken charge of where the costs have not sky-rocketed and fraud has become rampant ( Social Security,MediCare,MedicAid etc.) Government entitlements are NOT the answer to America's ills! Free market solutions have always been and always will be the way to a more prosperous America for everyone!

We all have different viewpoints on issues. The way a 17 year old sees the world, is not the way a 50 year old sees the world. Blacks do not see the world in the same way whites may see the world. Different viewpoints. If everyone saw the world in the same way it would be a boring place.

Good news Poison! Now, you can earn money for college by working through the National Service Act passed by President Obama! Here is how you can get money for college, the difference can be made up through scholarships and loans as everyone else does it. But you better hurry, I'm sure there will be lots of people trying to get this money.
