MCCain would just be more of the same---nothing new economically, continued reactionary appointments to the Supreme Court, 1000 year presence in Iraq---as in 1960, Americans are longing for a change and Obama will bring that--he is progressive but sensitive to the fact that not everyone needs to agree with him for him to be able to compromise with them. We have had years now of unbelievable hostility from the Bushites suggesting that anyone who doesn't agree with them is somehow unpatriotic. It is exciting that Democrats are giving us a choice between a woman and an African-American. From the Republicans, we get business as usual. The fact that more people are voting in the Democratic primaries than ever before is proof that people once again feel engaged--whatever the final choice, Barack or Hillary--they will get my enthusiastic vote.
