How to OPEN my maytag dryer model # MDE8000AYW

My dryer stopped tumbling; the light comes on, when I press the start button, it will go through the whole cycle, but it doesn't tumble!!! I called for service, & was told that it's my THERMAL FUSE. Does anyone know anything about this, & furthermore, how to open my Maytag MDE8000AYW, to get to the thermal fuse, to replace it? Like, WHERE is the thermal fuse located???

I don't believe that you should be the one to service your own machine. You run the risk of damaging it even more, if you do not understand or know what to do. I think that regardless of how 'simple', Maytag thinks your problem is, they should still send someone to come and service it for you. If I were you, I would call them back and tell them to send someone.

Officials in the town of Clyde are hoping that the layoffs are only temporary until demand picks up again. They say workers were told of the changes this week. Clyde Mayor Scott Black says the layoffs could begin in early December. Whirlpool's factory in Clyde employs about 3,500 people. The total population of the town was 6,000 at the 2000 census.
