Hi Barbara, ---------------- I believe you reffer to American great sport-woman: Babe Didrikson. She had qualified to 5 events in 1932 but the Olympic rules, at that time, limited her to take part only in 3 events, so she chosed: javelin, 80-meter hurdles and high jump. In all those 3 events she set new records (Javelin - 143' 4" feet, (43.68 meters), olympic record. hurdles - 11.7 seconds [world record], and a silver medal in high jump after she and American Jean Shirley both cleared a world record of 5-5¼ (1.657 meters). ------------ Best regards,
