Hi, my puppy is going on 11 months old. Is it bad that I am waiting so long to get him nuttered? Is he going to have any problems that say a 6 month old puppy would not have? Thanks
Hi Chris---You need to go ahead and get your pup neutered soon. Male dogs have been known to have prostate cancer, and also testicular cancer. If you don't plan to breed, there is no reason not to get him neutered. Also, some people say you need to neuter before they learn to "hunch". (I don't know about that.)
I hope this helps!
Clare

Clare's got it right, what are you waiting for ? Although physically it will not harm your dog, getting neutered a little later in life. Just don't wait to long. You may never get around to doing it. Then the two cancers Clare mentioned, may become a problem.
